SAM group

Description

A SAM group is a collection of SAMs of the same type that operate in a similar context. Therefore, all SAMs in a SAM group have the same parameters (threshold, receiling number...).

Purpose

SAM groups are used to configure the parameters of SAMs. When a SAM sends his heartbeat to mobi.guider, mobi.guider checks to which group the SAM belongs. Based on that information, mobi.guider knows:

• Which parameters it has to send to the SAM (e.g. the initial SAM ceiling, the receiling limit...).
• If it has to raise the ceiling of a particular SAM key and, if so, how high the new ceiling has to be.
